Tradewind Recruitment is delighted to be working with a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Bury to recruit a dedicated Inclusion Support Assistant to join their team from 1 September 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced education professional who is passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential. The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff, the SEND team and pastoral colleagues to provide targeted support for students who require additional assistance both inside and outside the classroom.

As an Inclusion Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in promoting engagement, improving confidence and supporting pupils with a range of additional learning, social, emotional and behavioural needs.
Key responsibilities include:

Providing individual and small group support to students across a range of subjects.

Supporting pupils with SEND, SEMH and other additional needs to access learning successfully.

Encouraging positive behaviour and helping students develop confidence, resilience and independence.

Working collaboratively with teachers, pastoral teams and external professionals to implement support strategies.

Assisting with intervention programmes designed to improve academic progress, attendance and wellbeing.

Building positive, professional relationships with students, parents and colleagues.

Helping to create an inclusive learning environment where all pupils can thrive.
The successful candidate will have:

Previous experience working within a school or educational setting.

A genuine passion for supporting young people and promoting inclusion.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

The ability to build positive relationships with students from a range of backgrounds.

A calm, patient and proactive approach to supporting pupils with additional needs.

The ability to work effectively as part of a committed and supportive team.
Please note:Only applicants with previous experience working in schools or the education sector will be considered for this position.
