Independent Living Team Supervisor (Temporary Contract)
Location: Rugby
Rate: £18.85 per hour
Contract: Immediate start – until end of September
Working Pattern: 4 days office / 1 day from home
The Opportunity
Our client is looking for an Independent Living Team Supervisor to provide essential short-term support to their housing service. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a housing background who is either already in a supervisory role or ready to take the next step up into leadership.
You'll be stepping into a well established team of 9 Housing Officers, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and providing guidance where needed.
The Role
This is a hands-on, operational supervisory position focusing on keeping the team running effectively. You will:
- Oversee daily team management of 9 Housing Officers
- Manage rotas, annual leave, sickness and mileage approvals
- Provide support and guidance on cases, helping staff determine next steps
- Act as a key point of escalation, directing cases appropriately
- Maintain consistency and standards across service delivery
Please note: This role is strictly supervisory – there is no project work, service review, or direct Housing Officer caseload.
About You
We're keen to speak with candidates who:
- Have experience within housing and/or independent living services
- Have supervisory, coordination experience, or are a Housing Officer looking to step up
- Are confident supporting staff and making day to day operational decisions
- Can provide clear guidance and direction on case management
- Are organised, approachable, and proactive
