You'll be joining a rapidly expanding Indirect Tax team within a leading global advisory firm. With consistent growth over recent years, the team is now looking for an Associate Director to help drive its next phase of success.

Your Role

Focusing on Financial Services, you'll work with clients across Banking & Capital Markets, Investment Management, Insurance, and FinTech.

You'll be part of a specialist team with deep industry expertise, advising on the application of VAT and IPT across complex transactions and business structures. Your work will often have an international dimension, giving you exposure to global projects and cross-border collaboration.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading client engagements and acting as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders
  • Supporting the growth of key accounts and contributing to winning new business
  • Managing and developing junior team members through hands-on leadership and mentoring
  • Delivering pragmatic, commercially focused advice on complex Indirect Tax matters
  • Playing a key role in identifying and developing new market opportunities
  • Building and strengthening relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Collaborating with colleagues across different service lines and geographies
  • Contributing to an inclusive, high-performing team culture

You'll also gain exposure to a wide range of projects, from global restructurings and tax transformation initiatives to dispute resolution and VAT process automation.

What You'll Bring

You'll be an experienced Indirect Tax professional with strong Financial Services expertise and the confidence to lead both client relationships and internal teams.

Key requirements include:

  • Proven VAT experience within Financial Services, gained in practice, industry, or a regulatory environment
  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to deliver practical, client-focused solutions
  • Demonstrated experience in client relationship management and business development
  • Experience leading teams and managing complex engagements
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to identify opportunities and take ownership
  • CTA or equivalent qualification (preferred)
