About the Role
We are looking for a passionate Chef with an Indian cuisine background who is eager to transition into a career in NPD and food innovation. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity to join our Meals Division and develop your skills within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Working as part of our Innovation and NPD team, you will support the development of new and exciting products, bringing authentic and inspiring Indian flavours to our ranges. This role offers hands-on experience across product development, factory trials, and customer projects-ideal for someone looking to build a long-term career in food manufacturing and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development of new products, with a focus on Indian-inspired and global cuisine
- Assist in translating culinary ideas into scalable, factory-produced products
- Work closely with NPD teams, process teams, and commercial teams on product briefs and concepts
- Participate in kitchen work, product sampling, and factory trials
- Help refine recipes to meet quality, cost, and customer requirements
- Stay up to date with food trends, particularly within Indian and international cuisines
- Support customer presentations and internal showcases where required
About You
You are a chef with a strong foundation in Indian cuisine, looking to take the next step into a career in product development and innovation. You bring a passion for food, a willingness to learn, and an interest in how products are developed at scale.
This role is ideal for someone early in their career or looking to transition from a professional kitchen into the food manufacturing industry. You are curious, adaptable, and excited by the opportunity to grow and develop within NPD.
Key Skills & Experience
- Background as a chef, with a strong understanding of Indian cuisine
- Passion for food innovation and interest in NPD/manufacturing
- Eagerness to learn and develop new technical skills
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Organised with the ability to manage tasks and meet deadlines
- Flexible approach and willingness to support across different projects
