42.5 hours per week | Monday to Friday, on shift between 07:30–17:00
We are working on an urgent brief for a well-established and growing business in the building supplies sector, based in Avonmouth, Bristol. This is a fully office-based, permanent role.
The Role
This is a great opportunity to grow in your sales career – you will be the first point of contact for a broad portfolio of B2B and B2C customers, handling inbound calls and email enquiries, processing orders, and supporting a busy field sales team. You will manage quotations from creation through to closure within the company's CRM system, assist with material sourcing and pricing, and play a key part in maintaining strong customer relationships.
Day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Managing incoming customer calls and email enquiries
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with customers and internal stakeholders
- Resolving queries to a high standard of customer service
- Sourcing and pricing of materials
- Creating, amending, following up, and closing quotations within the CRM system
- Processing orders accurately and efficiently
- Supporting field sales representatives as required
- General office and administrative duties
What We're Looking For
Experience within building supplies, construction, aggregates, or a closely related sector is essential for this role — candidates without this background will not be considered. You will also need to demonstrate:
- A background in a sales support or internal sales position
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Excellent organisational skills and keen attention to detail
- A proactive, positive, and solutions-focused attitude
- Confident and professional communication skills, both written and verbal
- The ability to work well within a team whilst managing your own workload effectively
The Package
Salary up to £32,000 depending on experience, plus a benefits package. The company actively supports learning, progression, and development.
