The Supply Register is proud to be working in close collaboration with Coleg Cambria, one of the UK’s leading further education colleges, to recruit an experienced Instructor Demonstrator in Electrical Installation. This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking institution supporting the delivery of high-quality practical learning within a modern, industry-standard workshop environment.

About the Role

The Institute of Technology department at Bersham Road is seeking a skilled and motivated Instructor Demonstrator to support learners in developing essential practical electrical installation skills. Working closely with the course team, you will deliver and demonstrate safe working methods, prepare tools and materials, and help learners build confidence and competence across a range of electrical installation techniques.

You will play a key role in supporting learners’ progression into employment, apprenticeships, or further study by helping them develop strong technical abilities, professional behaviours, and safe working practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and deliver practical electrical workshop sessions
  • Demonstrate safe and effective electrical installation methods
  • Prepare tools, equipment, and materials for practical learning
  • Support learners in developing skills in containment systems, wiring techniques, safe isolation awareness, inspection preparation, and general workshop procedures
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organised workshop environment
  • Assist with learner supervision and contribute to record keeping where required
  • Work collaboratively with the course team to support learner progress
  • Uphold Coleg Cambria’s standards for Health & Safety, Safeguarding, Equality and Quality

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation or a relevant subject
  • Relevant commercial or domestic electrical installation experience
  • Ability to confidently demonstrate practical electrical installation skills
  • Understanding of current developments within electrical installation and building services
  • Ability to support the planning and delivery of effective practical sessions

Desirable Requirements

  • Experience supporting learners in an FE or training environment
  • Experience managing challenging behaviours
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills
