Description
- Prepare and manage accurate financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and organisational policies.
- Assist in year-end audits and liaise with external auditors as required.
- Monitor and analyse financial performance to support strategic decision-making.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes to maintain cash flow.
- Support the development of internal financial controls and procedures.
- Provide financial insights and guidance to senior management and stakeholders.
- Contribute to special projects and initiatives within the accounting and finance department.
Profile
A successful Interim Accountant should have:
- A professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, or ACA).
- Proven experience in accounting and finance, ideally within the higher education sector.
- Strong technical skills in financial reporting and compliance.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Effective communication skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
- The ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
