Interim Financial Controller
- Initial 3 Month Contract with potential to extend
- £500 per day, inside IR35
- You need to be immediately available to start
- Must live in (or near to) London. The role is largely remote but you need to be able to get into London with ease.
A growing PE backed SME are looking for an Interim Financial Controller to lead finance for the UK and two overseas entities during a period of transition. This role ensures accurate reporting, audit, VAT, FRS 102 compliance, and strong financial control.
As the role is mainly remote, it's ideal if you have experience in a standalone senior finance role and enjoy autonomy. There will little handover so you will need to pick up the role quickly and enjoy a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Lead accounting operations for the UK and two international entities.
- Manage month-end close and prepare accurate financial reports.
- Coordinate statutory audits
- Oversee VAT/statutory filings and treasury operations across Europe.
- Partner on cash forecasting and intercompany activity.
- Support Sage Intacct–Salesforce integration and drive process improvements.
- Collaborate with international teams to enhance close and reporting cycles.
What You Bring
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Experience in controllership roles and VAT.
- Experience with FRS 102 audits. It is helpful, although not necessary, to have US GAAP.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and cross-functional communication.
- Ability to step in quickly and take ownership with minimal handover.
- Proficiency in Excel and working with multiple sources of data.
- It is helpful if you have used Sage Intacct
