Interim Finance AI Consultant
Location: Fully Remote (2 days per month in Yorkshire)
Contract: 3-6 Months
Day Rate: DOA – Outside IR35
Start Date: ASAP
Overview
We are currently supporting a client seeking an Interim Finance AI Consultant to enhance their management accounting and reconciliation processes through the use of automation and AI-driven solutions.
This role has been created due to capacity constraints within the existing team, and requires a hands-on specialist who can independently assess current workflows and implement practical, scalable improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and assess existing management accounts and reconciliation processes
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through AI and automation tools
- Design and implement solutions to reduce manual intervention and improve accuracy
- Ensure all new processes are clearly documented and embedded within the team
- Operate independently, managing workload and delivering outcomes with minimal supervision
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) or equivalent experience
- Strong background in management accounting and financial processes
- Demonstrable experience using AI or automation tools within finance, such as:
- Power Automate
- Advanced Excel / Excel AI
- Python or similar technologies
- Proven ability to deliver process improvements in a hands-on, delivery-focused role
- Previous interim, contract, or consulting experience is highly desirable
Additional Information
- Fully remote role with flexible working, must be able to get to the Yorkshire office 2 days per month
- Immediate start preferred
