Mitchell Adam are currently partnering with well-established professional service business based in Birmingham to support their search for an Interim Financial Controller whilst they move through an exciting time of change.
Reporting directly to the FD, you will be responsible for managing and mentoring a team of 12, including qualified accountants and transactional staff. This is a hands-on role where you'll oversee the day-to-day finance operations while supporting strategic decision-making and ensuring financial control and reporting processes are robust and compliant.
Ideally, you will:
- Be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with previous experience as a Financial Controller, ideally in a professional services environment
- Hold strong leadership and team management skills, with confident communicator with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Be commercially astute with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Have previous interim experience working in a contractor and be comfortable operating in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
