Interim Group Finance Manager Location: London (Hybrid – Tuesday mandatory office day) Contract: Initial 3 months (with potential to extend to year-end, depending on business needs) Pay Rate: £600 per day inside IR35 Via Umbrella (depending on experience) We're partnering with a dynamic, fast-growing organisation in the hospitality sector. Due to a significant increase in audit and corporate activity linked to a major milestone, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Interim Group Finance Manager to join as number two to the Group Finance lead. About the role: This senior interim role will provide crucial support across group finance, audit management, and financial control in a multi-entity environment. You will act as a key deputy, helping to run the finance function. You'll gain exposure to complex group reporting and a fast-paced period of change within the hospitality sector. Key Responsibilities • Acting as deputy to the Group Finance Manager, supporting the day-to-day running of the finance function • Reviewing balance sheet reconciliations and supporting month-end close processes • Managing auditor relationships, responding to queries and samples across multiple concurrent audits • Supporting statutory reporting, group reporting, and parent company requests • Assisting with tax compliance (corporation tax and VAT) • Working across multiple UK entities in a multi-currency environment • Providing guidance to junior team members and acting as the face of the team during key periods • Supporting internal controls and ad-hoc finance projects
Skills & Experience • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with several years' post-qualification experience • Strong group finance experience essential – must have worked with multiple entities and multiple balance sheets in a multi-currency environment (single entity experience is not suitable) • Proven experience managing audits, statutory reporting, and the full finance cycle • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with multiple priorities • Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, pivots etc.) • Tax experience (corporation tax returns / VAT) is highly advantageous • Hospitality background preferred but not essential • Experience with Sun System (approvals) and consolidation tools such as OneStream or Hyperion is a strong advantage
Additional Information • Immediate or early July start preferred • Hybrid working – Tuesday is the mandatory office day
