The Interim Production Manager will oversee all aspects of health, safety, wellbeing, environment, and waste streams within the production departments. You will direct, manage, and optimize production processes to meet business objectives, proposing and implementing process improvements.

Description
The Interim Production Manager will be responsible for/to:
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, wellbeing, and environmental policies, including incident reporting and corrective actions.
- Take full responsibility for production processes, continuously improving productivity, yields, and minimizing losses.
- Ensure all operatives are fully trained and competent, achieving optimal yields.
- Develop and monitor KPIs for process improvements.
- Manage operating budgets and provide strategic CAPEX plans for future improvements.
- Precisely manage and account for product stocks.
- Perform HR duties such as appraisals and return-to-work interviews.
- Maintain high housekeeping standards.
- Collaborate with engineering to optimize equipment uptime.
Profile
The successful Interim Production Manager should be/have:
- Experience in manufacturing operations, ideally with a focus on heavy manufacturing.
- Degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related technical discipline is highly desirable.
- Experience in manufacturing at a management or supervisory level.
- Knowledge of manufacturing, health & safety, and environmental procedures (minimum IOSH qualified).
- Excellent communication, leadership, planning, and organizational skills.
- Good IT skills and financial awareness.
- Forward-thinking, "can do" attitude with a track record of delivering exceptional results.
- Available to start a role on short notice.
Job Offer
- Competitive salary ranging from £55,000 to £65,000 p/a depending on experience.
- Initial fixed term contract of 3-6 months.
- Based on site in Rotherham.
