Are you an experienced Governance professional available at short notice? Can you confidently run committee meetings and produce high-quality minutes? Looking for a short-term contract where you can make an immediate impact?
We're supporting a well-regarded Housing Association in London with the short term appointment of a Governance professional (Interim Senior Governance Officer) for a six-week contract. This assignment will provide cover during a planned leadership transition, ensuring board and committee governance continues to run smoothly through a busy meeting cycle before handing over to the incoming Governance lead.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing the administration of board and committee meetings.
- Preparing agendas, meeting packs and supporting documentation.
- Attending committee meetings and producing accurate, high-quality minutes.
- Supporting the Governance team to ensure statutory and governance obligations are met.
- Providing continuity and a thorough handover to the incoming Head of Governance.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Governance professional seeking a straight-forward short-term interim assignment with a clear remit. You'll join an established team, work closely with senior stakeholders and play a key role in keeping governance activity running seamlessly during an important transition period. The role is based in Central London with an expectation of attending the office in a hybrid fashion, prioritising being present when committee meetings require.
The role is inside IR35 paid via Umbrella.
To be considered, please meet these criteria:
- Demonstrable experience in Governance, Company Secretarial or Committee Services roles.
- Strong experience supporting board and/or committee meetings, including agenda preparation and minute taking.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Housing Association governance experience would be advantageous.
- Available to start at very short notice for a six-week contract.
