International Customer Service Executive
Our client is seeking an experienced International Customer Service Executive to join their growing team based in Witham, Essex.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in international trade, export documentation, and customer service to join a well-established business offering long-term career development.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of international customer orders from order receipt through to delivery.
- Act as the main point of contact for customers throughout the order process.
- Arrange international shipments and liaise with freight forwarders and transport providers.
- Prepare export documentation, including Customs & Excise paperwork, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations.
- Manage UK customer orders, working closely with Operations and external logistics providers to meet customer requirements.
- Provide support to the Sales Managers.
- Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers and internal departments.
- Identify opportunities to improve customer service and operational processes.
- Provide cover for other administrative functions within the team as required.
- Maintain accurate customer and order records.
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in international trade, import/export or export customer service.
- Experience preparing export documentation and customs declarations.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable
- IATA certification.
- Knowledge of Incoterms and international freight documentation.
- Experience working within manufacturing, logistics or a regulated industry.
