The successful candidate should be proactive, commercially aware, willing to learn and comfortable using technology, systems and AI tools to improve efficiency, research, communication and client service.

Key Deliverables:

  • Review and manage discretionary and managed advisory client portfolios in line with client objectives, risk appetite, investment mandates and prevailing market views.
  • Ensure portfolios remain aligned to agreed asset allocation, investment strategy and client suitability requirements.
  • Provide investment advice and portfolio recommendations where appropriate, taking account of the firm's views on markets, investments and asset allocation.
  • Support client reviews, portfolio reporting, investment proposals and ongoing client communications.
  • Identify changes in client circumstances and ensure portfolios and documentation are updated accordingly.
  • Ensure all client documentation is accurate, complete and maintained in line with internal procedures.
  • Operate in accordance with internal policies, regulatory obligations and conduct standards, including suitability, TCF / Consumer Duty, AML, complaints handling and client file requirements.
  • Liaise with front office colleagues, administration teams, compliance and wider business functions to ensure an efficient and professional client experience.
  • Support the development of existing client relationships through regular communication and high levels of service.
  • Help promote investment management services to private clients and professional introducers.
  • Attend and contribute to investment meetings or committees where required.
  • Support the maintenance of model portfolios, buy lists, investment strategies and platform-based portfolios where applicable.
  • Assist with investment research, market commentary, asset allocation work and preparation of investment material.
  • Use technology, internal systems and AI-enabled tools appropriately to improve productivity, research, analysis, reporting and client communication.
  • Complete all required CPD and maintain professional competence.
  • Undertake ad-hoc projects or additional duties as required by senior management.
  • Supporting investment research across funds, equities, bonds, collectives or model portfolios.
  • Preparing portfolio and strategy information for investment meetings.
  • Monitoring approved investment lists and ensuring research remains current.
  • Maintaining model portfolios, strategies and investment propositions across relevant platforms.
  • Contributing to market updates, investment notes and internal investment discussions.
  • Working with the wider investment team to ensure portfolios reflect agreed house views, governance standards and investment process requirements.

The Right Candidate:

  • CISI Investment Advice Diploma, or an equivalent recognised investment qualification.
  • Experience in investment management, portfolio management, wealth management or private client advisory.
  • Strong understanding of discretionary and/or advisory portfolio management.
  • Good knowledge of asset allocation, investment markets, funds, equities, fixed income and collective investments.
  • A working understanding of suitability, Consumer Duty / TCF, AML, client documentation and regulatory obligations.
  • Experience dealing with private clients, professional introducers, advisers or intermediaries.
  • Ability to manage client portfolios in line with agreed mandates and risk profiles.

Bonus and LTIP options available. This is an exciting time to join the business as they go through a period of change and for you to be part of the future strategy.
