We're partnering with an innovative product company whose cloud-based telematics platform processes millions of vehicle events every day. Their technology enables customers to monitor fleets, improve driver safety and optimise operations through a modern web platform built on Microsoft Azure.
As their customer base continues to grow, they're looking for a Cloud Platform Administrator / Technical Support Engineer to become the technical bridge between Infrastructure, Engineering and Customer Success.
This isn't a traditional IT support role. You'll be responsible for the health, security and performance of a business-critical cloud platform while helping resolve complex technical issues across Cloudflare, Azure and telematics services.
The Role
Working closely with Software Engineers, DevOps and Product teams, you'll be responsible for ensuring the reliability and availability of a large-scale cloud platform.
You'll investigate production issues, monitor infrastructure, administer Cloudflare services, support Azure resources and diagnose connectivity problems between telematics devices and the cloud platform.
You'll also contribute towards improving monitoring, automation and operational processes.
Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain Cloudflare services including DNS, WAF, SSL, CDN and Zero Trust.
- Support Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure.
- Monitor platform availability, performance and security.
- Investigate and resolve production incidents.
- Diagnose API and web platform issues.
- Support Azure App Services, Functions and Storage.
- Work with Azure Monitor, Application Insights and Log Analytics.
- Troubleshoot telematics device connectivity and data flow.
- Investigate network, firewall and routing issues.
- Manage user permissions and security policies.
- Work with Development teams during software releases.
- Produce technical documentation and operational runbooks.
- Drive continual improvements in platform stability and automation.
You'll Have
- Commercial experience supporting cloud-based SaaS platforms.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure.
- Experience administering Cloudflare.
- Good understanding of DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, SSL/TLS and networking.
- Experience supporting REST APIs.
- SQL troubleshooting skills.
- Experience investigating production incidents.
- Understanding of security best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
