IT QA Lead (Prudential Regulatory Change) – AVP

Hybrid (3/2 split)
Contract to end of March 2027
£405 – £676 per day (via Umbrella)
cer Financial are working alongside an international bank, who are based in the City of London. They are seeking an IT QA Lead (Prudential Regulatory Change) – AVP to work with them on a contract.
The responsibilities of the candidate will include:
- Led end-to-end QA testing for Prudential and Trade & Transaction Reporting regulatory change programmes.
- Owned test strategy, planning, execution, regression testing, and defect management.
- Developed and maintained regression test packs using Jira, Xray, and Confluence.
- Validated regulatory reporting for MiFID II, EMIR, SFTR, Basel, RWA, Liquidity, Capital Adequacy, and Prudential Reporting.
- Performed data validation, reconciliation, root cause analysis, and reporting issue resolution.
- Coordinated SIT, UAT, integration, and end-to-end testing across multiple systems.
- Collaborated with Business, Compliance, Operations, Front Office, and Development teams to deliver regulatory change.
- Managed test environments, test data, and QA governance to ensure audit readiness.
- Facilitated defect triage, stakeholder meetings, and provided regular MI and test status reporting.
- Mentored QA analysts and promoted Agile QA best practices and continuous improvement.
- Identified project risks, managed dependencies, and ensured regulatory compliance within delivery timelines.
- Supported automation initiatives and improved testing efficiency across regulatory reporting programmes.
The successful candidate will have:
- Proven QA/Test Lead experience in Investment Banking.
- Strong knowledge of Prudential and Trade & Transaction Reporting.
- Experience with Basel, MiFID II, EMIR, SFTR, RWA, Liquidity, and Capital Reporting.
- Expertise in SIT, UAT, Regression, and End-to-End Testing.
- Hands-on with Jira, Xray, Confluence, DUCO/IntelliMatch, DTCC, and Kaizen.
- Experience with Murex, Bloomberg, Summit, MarkitWire, PRISM, FOX, and OBS.
- Strong data analysis, defect management, and root cause analysis skills.
- Agile delivery and stakeholder management experience.
- Knowledge of derivatives, securities, and front-to-back trade lifecycle.
