IT Technician
Location: Croydon / London area
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for IT support queries (email, phone, helpdesk)
- Manage and update helpdesk tickets, ensuring timely resolution
- Support user onboarding and offboarding (accounts, devices, access)
- Maintain IT asset register (laptops, mobiles, software licences)
- Troubleshoot and resolve IT issues, escalating where required
- Prepare, configure, and redeploy IT equipment
- Manage stock levels of IT hardware and request replacements as needed
- Liaise with third-party suppliers and service providers
- Monitor mobile and data usage across devices
- Carry out routine system checks, updates, and virus scans
- Provide on-site support when required
- Assist with IT projects and continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
- Experience in a 1st Line / IT Support role / IT Technician
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Experience with user account management and device setup
- Familiarity with ticketing systems
- Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach
- Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple tasks
