AJ Chambers are representing an Essex based Schools Trust who are looking for 2x IT Technicians to join their IT Support Function.
We are looking for a proactive and customer-focused IT Technician to join our IT Support team. You'll provide first and second-line IT support across our Trust, ensuring staff and students have reliable technology to support teaching and learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first and second-line IT support for staff and students.
- Install, configure and maintain PCs, laptops, tablets and other IT equipment.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, Microsoft 365 and user account issues.
- Support classroom technology, including interactive displays, AV equipment and printers.
- Manage and prioritise helpdesk tickets, escalating complex issues where required.
- Assist with device deployment, software installations and system updates.
- Provide IT support for exams, school events and day-to-day operations.
- Support educational platforms and maintain secure, reliable IT systems.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 2 years' experience in an IT support role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows, Microsoft 365 and general hardware/software troubleshooting.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to prioritise workloads and solve technical issues efficiently.
- A proactive, organised approach with strong attention to detail.
- GCSE Maths and English (Grade 4/C or above) or equivalent.
Desirable
- Experience working within a school or education environment.
- Familiarity with educational systems such as Go4Schools, Senso, MIS platforms or classroom AV technology.
- Relevant IT qualification.
This is a Term time, Full time position so will equate to 45 working weeks of the year. All non term time will be off
