An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Junior Accountant to join the Finance team. This role is ideal for an ambitious accounting professional looking to develop their career within a dynamic, fast-paced, multi-entity environment.
The Role
Reporting into the Finance function, you will support a broad range of accounting activities, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of financial transactions while contributing to month-end and year-end financial reporting processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently and accurately
- Support daily banking and treasury activities
- Assist with monthly and annual financial close processes
- Perform bank, balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations
- Contribute to month-end reporting and management accounts preparation
- Support external audit requirements by providing relevant documentation and information
- Monitor customer accounts and assist with collection of outstanding balances
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with internal controls
- Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders across the business
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- A degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
- Approximately 1–2 years' accounting experience within a commercial environment
- Strong Excel skills and experience with ERP/accounting systems (NetSuite experience beneficial but not essential)
- Previous exposure to a multi-entity, international or fast-moving business environment
- A solid understanding of reconciliations, financial controls and reporting processes
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
- A proactive, organised approach with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Experience within FMCG, retail, consumer products or a similar sector would be advantageous
