This corporate law firm is one of the best firms in London. They attract clients that includes some of the worlds most successful businesses and well-known high net worth individuals. They currently have around 400 fee earning staff.
They are now looking to hire Junior Accountant. The accounting team sits within the finance department and consists of two accountants. This will be a new role within the accounting team and will report directly to the Financial Controller.
Responsibilities
- Process and post payments and internal bank transfers.
- Post general ledger journals.
- Maintain the fixed asset register.
- Assist in the preparation of financial management information and reports.
- Prepare ledger analysis schedules to support PAYE settlement agreement filing and tax computation.
- Prepare the annual other interest return.
- Support various legal survey reporting.
- Support the month end system close.
- Support projects within the broader finance function.
Candidate Profile
- Relevant professional services experience preferred.
- Will be interested in furthering their education and working towards an accounting qualification.
- High level of numeracy is required together with a good understanding of financial workings.
- Have meticulous attention to detail and work with accuracy.
- Highly organised and be able to prioritise multiple tasks.
- Proficient in Excel.
