Junior Estimator (Joinery / CAD)
£40,000 – £50,000 + Full Training + Progression + Annual Pay Increase + 3pm Friday Finish + On-Site Parking + Pension

Are you from a Joinery CAD background, with exposure to pricing or take-offs looking to take the next step in your career and become a fully qualified Estimator?
This is an excellent opportunity for someone from a CAD / technical drawing background to move into a fully trained Estimator role within a specialist bespoke joinery and woodworking manufacturer.
You do not need to be a fully qualified Estimator, provided you can read technical drawings, understand how bespoke joinery is manufactured and have some exposure to pricing, materials, labour, quotations or project costing.
You will join a small, family-run woodworking manufacturer where you will work closely with senior staff and directors from day one, receiving full development across estimating, supplier pricing, labour costing, variations, client communication and final accounts.
The Role:
- Reading technical drawings, specifications and client information
- Supporting quotations for bespoke joinery and woodworking projects
- Completing material take-offs, supplier pricing and labour costing
- Pricing machine shop, bench joinery, finishing and polishing work
- Working closely with CAD, production, project and senior management teams
- Developing commercial knowledge around margins, variations and final accounts
- Speaking with suppliers, clients and internal teams
The Person:
- CAD Technician, CAD Draughtsperson, Technical Designer, Junior Estimator or similar
- Background in joinery, woodworking, furniture, cabinetry, shopfitting or similar
- Able to read and understand technical drawings
- Exposure to pricing, quotations, take-offs, BOMs, material schedules or costing
- Interested in moving into estimating, pricing and commercial project work
- Confident communicator with good attention to detail
- Keen to learn, develop and progress long term
