Junior Management Accountant | £28,000 – £32,000pa plus full study support | Hybrid | Derby | Permanent
A newly created role in a fast-growing and forward-thinking finance team, supporting a strategic finance transformation within a successful and expanding group. The business is ambitious, growing fast and aiming for FTSE 250 status.
You will work closely with the Group Management Accountant and a highly regarded Financial Controller. The role offers excellent exposure to group-level reporting, budgeting, and acquisitions. The finance team is shifting from business as usual to a commercially focused, insight-driven function.
You will be involved in:
- Month-end and management accounts completion and reporting
- Budgeting, balance sheet recs, cash flow forecasting, pre-payments and accruals, and variance analysis
- Group financial reporting across multiple businesses
- Supporting audits and acquisition activity
- Process improvement and reporting enhancements
What we are looking for:
- Part-qualified or studying CIMA or ACCA (or ready to start)
- Strong foundations in finance (AAT, finance degree or similar)
- Detail-focused, analytical, inquisitive and proactive
- Comfortable presenting financial information and improving processes
- Interest in audit, compliance or group finance is a plus
You will receive full study support, hybrid working (two days from home), and genuine progression in a team set to grow to 20 people. Culture-wise, it is fast-paced but supportive, ambitious but down to earth.
