The Opportunity

The client is seeking a highly capable and motivated individual with a genuine interest in building a career within the hedge fund industry.

Key ResponsibilitiesTrading Analytics

1. Maintain and enhance trading analytics, tools, and models.
2. Improve data pipelines, infrastructure, and analytics workflows.
3. Support the development and deployment of quantitative trading strategies.
4. Assist with market data analysis and reporting.

Operations

1. Run and monitor key operational processes, including:
2. Daily reconciliations and investigation of trade breaks.
3. End-of-month investor reporting.
4. Liaison with brokers, counterparties, administrators, and other service providers.
5. Respond to operational queries and resolve issues efficiently.
6. Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement automation solutions.

Skills & ExperienceCore Requirements

1. Strong Python development skills.
2. Experience building or working with data pipelines and workflows.
3. Basic SQL knowledge.
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
5. Excellent attention to detail.
6. A proactive and hardworking approach.
7. Up to two years' professional experience using Python.

Desirable

1. Interest in, or exposure to, commodity, power, or gas markets.
2. Experience within trading, analytics, or modelling environments.
3. Familiarity with cloud-based infrastructure such as AWS.
