The Role
As a motivated Junior Software Developer, you'll join a collaborative engineering team working on core business platforms and new product development initiatives. You'll gain exposure to the full software development lifecycle, working alongside experienced developers to build, maintain, and improve scalable applications.
Requirements
- Computer Science degree or equivalent commercial experience
- Exposure to software development through university projects, commercial work, or personal projects
- PHP and MVC framework experience (Laravel preferred)
- HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SQL
- Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
- Git / Version Control
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and organised code
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Nice to Have
- Laravel or other modern PHP frameworks
- Vue.js, React, or other frontend frameworks
- REST API development
- AWS Cloud exposure
- Docker / Containerisation
- Understanding of software testing principles
- Awareness of application security best practices
