Overview

We are looking for an inspiring Music Teacher to join a vibrant Arts and Technology faculty, with the chance to take on a leadership role within this flourishing team. You’ll deliver engaging Music lessons across KS3 and KS4, while contributing to a department that spans Early Years through Year 13 in music, drama, art, design technology, and computer science. This position is ideal for someone who blends strong musical expertise with a passion for educational innovation and the creative use of technology in the classroom.

The ideal candidate

  • University degree in your subject area (Master’s degree preferred)
  • QTS and/or PGCE
  • Proven track record teaching Music at secondary level
  • Experience with G Suite
  • Strong musicianship with the ability to inspire students across ability levels
  • Excellent communication
  • Confident managing practical sessions, rehearsals, and performances
  • Ability to lead or contribute to extra-curricular music activities
  • Good interpersonal skills in interacting with students, parents and colleagues
  • Ability to supervise students in non-classroom settings
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
