KS1 Teacher (Year 1) – September Start
Location: Burnley
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-Time, First Term Initially (with the potential to extend)
Tradewind Recruitment is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated KS1 Year 1 Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Burnley from September. The school is conveniently located and easily accessible via public transport. This position is initially for the first term, with the potential for the role to be extended beyond this period.
We welcome applications from both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and Fully Qualified Teachers (QTS). The rate of pay will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Planning, preparing, and delivering engaging lessons across the Year 1 curriculum.

Assessing, monitoring, and supporting pupil progress.

Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Managing classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies.

Attending staff meetings and contributing to the wider school community.

Supporting and attending extracurricular activities and school events as required.
The Ideal Candidate
-
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or is an Early Career Teacher (ECT).

Has a passion for primary education and supporting young learners.

Demonstrates strong classroom management skills.

Is committed to delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences.

Works effectively as part of a team and contributes positively to school life.
