EdEx - Education Recruitment
Latin Graduate (£24,066)
EdEx are pleased to announce that we are now representing a Trust of Schools located across both London & Hertfordshire. We have been tasked in finding aspiring teachers across all subjects through both salaried and unsalaried teaching routes.
This Latin Graduate Program is being offer as a "Earn, while you teach & learn" route – which in turn is a Salaried Schools Direct scheme.
Key points about the scheme:
- Paid position on the Unqualified Teacher (UQT) scale (most commonly UQ1)
- Employed directly by a school from day one
- Higher initial teaching load, typically around 15 periods per week
- Teaching load gradually increases to approximately 20 periods per week
- One dedicated training day per week
- Opportunity to gain QTS with PGCE (optional opt-out available if required)
- Working at one School throughout – avoiding any conflict in different teaching styles (in turn reducing stress on teacher)
One of the Schools is now looking for a Latin Graduate to join their Secondary School this September 2026. This is a full-time, term time only position with the school employing you directly.
You will be working across the Humanities Department, supporting KS3-4 lessons, while having a focus on attainment & the quality of learning. This is the perfect opportunity if you're an aspiring Classics looking to gain experience before enrolling onto teacher training.
