Tradewind Recruitment is working with a welcoming and inclusive school in Wellingborough seeking a dedicated Learning Assistant to join their support team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy working with children and are committed to making a positive difference in the classroom.
As a Learning Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to help pupils access learning, build confidence, and achieve their educational goals. The role may involve supporting individuals, small groups, or whole-class learning activities.
The Role

Support pupils in the classroom to maximise engagement and progress.

Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning.

Assist teachers with lesson preparation and classroom activities.

Promote positive behaviour and encourage pupil participation.

Support students with additional learning needs where required.

Help create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.

Contribute to the wider life of the school and support enrichment activities.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have

Experience working with children or young people in an educational, childcare, coaching, or support setting.

A patient, positive, and adaptable approach.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

A genuine passion for supporting learning and development.

The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.

An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
