Reed Education are proud to be recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and inclusive primary school in the DN5 area for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their team from September. This is a temporary-to-permanent opportunity for the right candidate.
About the Role
This role involves supporting pupils across the primary age range, with a particular focus on children with additional needs. You will work closely with class teachers and the wider support team to create an inclusive, engaging, and supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with additional needs
- Assist in delivering tailored learning plans and interventions
- Support pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioural development
- Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals
About You
- Essential: Previous experience working within a school setting
- Essential: Experience supporting children with additional needs (e.g. SEN, SEMH, ASD, or similar)
- Calm, patient, and adaptable approach to supporting learners
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
