Reed Education are working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Bracknell to recruit a Learning Support Assistant for a long-term role starting in September through to December.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive school environment where you will play a key role in helping students overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.
The Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with additional learning needs
- Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
- Support students with SEN (Special Educational Needs), including autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties
- Help manage behaviour and promote a positive learning environment
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff and the SENCO to implement support strategies and interventions
- Encourage student confidence, independence, and wellbeing
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience working with children or young people (school-based experience desirable)
- Demonstrates a passion for supporting students with additional needs
- Has strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Is patient, adaptable, and proactive
- Has a good understanding of safeguarding and child protection
