Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting Learning Support Assistants to work in welcoming secondary schools across Waltham Forest. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who want to make a positive impact on students' academic progress, confidence and wellbeing.
The Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:
- Support students during lessons on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.
- Work closely with teachers to deliver engaging learning activities.
- Help students overcome barriers to learning and achieve their potential.
- Provide additional support for pupils with SEND where required.
- Encourage independence, confidence and positive classroom behaviour.
- Assist with intervention sessions and classroom preparation.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience working with children or young people in schools, tutoring, youth work, coaching or similar settings.
- Is patient, enthusiastic and adaptable.
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Enjoys working collaboratively as part of a school team.
- Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.
