Our special school in Stratford supports children and young people with a range of additional needs. We are looking for a committed Learning Support Assistant who is passionate about helping pupils achieve their full potential. As a Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other professionals to provide high-quality support both inside and outside the classroom.
About the Role
Based in Stratford, you will support pupils with special educational needs, helping them access learning and develop independence. You will contribute to a positive and nurturing environment where all pupils feel valued and supported.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting pupils with their learning, communication, and social development.
- Assisting with classroom activities and tailored intervention programmes.
- Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
- Working collaboratively with teaching staff and therapists.
- Providing personal care where required.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience working with children or young people, ideally within a special school environment.
- A genuine passion for supporting pupils with additional needs.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Personal care is essential and applicants must be comfortable supporting pupils with personal care needs.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
