Are you a caring, patient and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant looking for a rewarding new opportunity?
Academics is recruiting on behalf of a friendly and inclusive primary school in Eastbourne seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their team from September 2026.
This full-time, term-time role is ideal for someone who is passionate about helping children thrive academically, socially and emotionally. You will work closely with class teachers to provide support to pupils, helping them to reach their full potential in a positive and nurturing learning environment.
The Role
- Full-time Learning Support Assistant within a primary school.
- Support pupils in the classroom on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.
- Assist the class teacher with delivering engaging learning activities.
- Encourage pupil confidence, independence and participation.
- Support children with a range of learning needs and abilities.
- Help to create a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.

- Experience working with primary-aged children is desirable.
- A patient, caring and positive attitude.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
- A proactive and flexible approach to supporting learning.
- A genuine passion for helping children succeed.
