Legal Administrator

About the Role
Working alongside experienced legal professionals, you'll play a vital role in keeping the team organised and ensuring matters progress efficiently. From diary management and document production to client onboarding and court administration, you'll provide comprehensive support across a wide range of legal and business operations.
No two days are the same, making this an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, problem-solving and working as part of a supportive team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to fee earners, including diary management, inbox management and appointment scheduling.
- Coordinate client meetings, conference calls and internal meetings, ensuring all arrangements run smoothly.
- Arrange business travel, accommodation and meeting logistics.
- Prepare, format and proofread legal documents, correspondence and reports to a consistently high standard.
- Manage document production, scanning, printing and electronic filing.
- Assist with opening new client matters and maintaining accurate records within document management systems.
- Prepare both electronic and hard copy court bundles.
- Liaise professionally with courts, external organisations and clients.
- Process billing information, work-in-progress reports, expense claims and time recording.
- Conduct legal, company and regulatory searches accurately and efficiently.
- Support marketing initiatives, business development activities and client events.
- Provide wider administrative support across the legal team and assist senior leadership when required.
- Contribute to continuous improvements that enhance team efficiency and client service.
About You
You'll be highly organised, naturally proactive and confident managing multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
You'll enjoy working collaboratively, communicating with a wide range of people and taking ownership of your workload in a professional environment.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous administration experience, ideally within a legal, financial or professional services environment.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
- Excellent document formatting and typing skills.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication.
- Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate work.
- Comfortable working to deadlines and adapting to changing priorities.
Desirable
- Experience as a Legal Administrator, Legal Assistant, Legal Secretary or within another professional services organisation.
- Experience using document management or case management systems.
- Administration or secretarial qualification.
- Graduate or educated to A-level (or equivalent).
