Meraki Talent are seeking a qualified solicitor or equivalent with a strong background in reviewing and analysing complex legal documentation to join an expanding function in Edinburgh. This is an excellent opportunity for a legal professional with an interest in private markets and fund structures to apply their analytical skills in a dynamic, process-driven environment.
As a Legal professional, you will play a key role in reviewing and interpreting private fund documentation, supporting legal analysis, validation activities, and client reporting. Working alongside senior lawyers and operations teams, you will help deliver high-quality outputs to clients while maintaining exceptional levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
Key duties will include;
- Review and analyse private fund documentation
- Analyse legal fees, terms, and provisions using established templates and methodologies
- Identify non-standard legal drafting, missing documentation, inconsistencies, and interpretation issues.
- Support FAIR validation processes and client reporting through accurate legal analysis and documentation review.
- Collaborate closely with senior legal professionals and operational teams to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of reports and client outputs.
- Maintain strong quality standards within a high-volume, process-driven environment.
Applicants should ideally be Qualified, with a minimum of 3 years' post-qualification experience. Applicants should be able to demonstrable experience reviewing and interpreting complex legal agreements showcasing strong attention to detail and strong analytical problem-solving skills. Additionally, applicants should have the ability to identify and assess legal risks, drafting nuances, and contractual variations.
