Our client, a well-established legal practice based in Hale, is seeking a highly organised and detail-focused Legal Cashier to play a key role in the smooth running of their finance function. The Role
As Legal Cashier, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the firm, ensuring compliance, accuracy and efficiency across all accounting activities.
Key Responsibilities
Processing accounts payable transactions accurately and efficiently
Reconciling client and office accounts
Maintaining accurate financial records and ledgers
Preparing invoices, receipts and payments
Assisting with bank reconciliations and cash flow monitoring
Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and internal procedures
Managing petty cash and employee expenses
Supporting external auditors and accountants when required
What We're Looking For
Previous experience as a Legal Cashier in a UK business or within a legal finance environment
Knowledge of legal accounting processes and reconciliations
Experience using ALB software would be highly advantageous
Understanding of SRA Accounts Rules would be beneficial, although training can be provided
Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Confident communication skills and a professional approach
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Finance or accountancy qualifications are desirable but not essential
