An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Legal Secretary to join a well-established firm of solicitors based in Hastings. This office-based role will see the successful candidate providing essential support to a solicitor, ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day operations within a busy legal department.
Typical duties will include:
- Preparing and formatting legal documents
- Typing correspondence and reports (including audio dictation)
- Managing case files
- Organising appointments, liaising with clients and external parties
- Assisting with general administrative tasks
- Accuracy, confidentiality and excellent organisational skills are key to success in this role.
The ideal candidate will have recent secretarial experience – ideally gained with the legal sector but candidates who have worked outside of this sector are encouraged to apply.
Strong typing skills and a keen eye for detail are essential, along with proficiency in audio dictation and Microsoft Office.
A professional, proactive attitude and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting will be highly valued.
