Role: Paralegal / Legal Secretary
Job Type: Permanent, full time
Salary: Starting at £45,000 – £53,000 DOE
Location: London
Hours: 09:00 – 17:00, 35 hours per week, hybrid (3 days in the office and 2 days from home)

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a dynamic and forward-thinking law firm in London as a Paralegal / Legal Secretary within the Trademark team.
As Paralegal / Legal Secretary you will provide secretarial support to solicitors in an Intellectual Property firm, with some PA duties and complex administrative tasks as necessary. Previous experience supporting solicitors in an Intellectual Property firm is required for this role.
Duties and Responsibilities of Paralegal / Legal Secretary:
- Preparing letters and formal documents
- Working on agreements
- Attending to daily administration requests for the solicitor such as file management, email filing, scanning and photocopying
- Sending emails on behalf of solicitors
- Completing conflict checks
- Calculating and preparing client invoices, to include debit and credit notes
- Opening and closing case files using the internal CMS
- Adding and updating deadline dates in diaries
- Completing expenses requests
- PA duties such as arranging travel, booking flights and keeping diaries up to date
About you:
- Previous legal secretarial experience and knowledge/experience of Intellectual Property is essential
- Strong typing and keyboard skills and excellent spelling and grammar
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Previous experience of working with digital dictation and audio typing
- Experience in billing clients and working within a complex billing structure
- Organised and strong prioritisation skills, able to work to tight deadlines
- Strong attention to detail; takes pride in producing high quality work
