Private Client Legal Secretary – Eastbourne
About the role An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Private Client Legal Secretary to join a highly regarded firm of solicitors in Eastbourne.
Working within a friendly, supportive and professional team, this Legal Secretary position offers the chance to become a valued member of a well-established private client department. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting fee earners and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the department.

Key responsibilities: • Providing comprehensive secretarial support to fee earners • Audio typing and preparation of legal documents and correspondence • Managing diaries, appointments and client meetings • Handling client enquiries professionally and efficiently • Opening and maintaining client files • General administrative duties to support the department • Ensuring documents are prepared accurately and within deadlines
What we are looking for The successful candidate will have: • Previous legal secretarial experience (essential) • Exposure to Private Client work such as Wills, Probate, Trusts or Lasting Powers of Attorney (highly desirable) • Strong typing and audio typing skills • Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities • A professional and client-focused approach • Strong communication skills • The ability to work effectively within a busy team environment
