Lettings Office Manager – ASAP start
Ormskirk | Full-time | £27,000-£35,000 DOE| Monday to Friday (occasional weekends)
A well-established and highly regarded independent lettings agency based in Ormskirk is seeking an experienced Lettings Office Manager to join and lead their growing team.
Specialising in residential, student, and commercial properties, this business prides itself on delivering excellent customer service and maintaining strong relationships with both landlords and tenants.
The Role
This is a dynamic, hands-on position combining leadership, property management, compliance, and customer service. You will oversee the full lettings process while ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and high service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the full lettings cycle from marketing through to move-in
- Conducting property viewings, applicant vetting, and negotiations
- Carrying out landlord appraisals and routine property inspections
- Overseeing tenant onboarding, renewals, and check-outs
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation (EPCs, EICRs, Gas Safety, HMO licensing)
- Managing maintenance issues and liaising with contractors
- Handling tenancy queries, disputes, and rent arrears
- Maintaining accurate property and tenancy records
- Building strong relationships with landlords, tenants, and contractors
About You
- Proven experience within lettings or property management (minimum 1 year at management level preferred)
- Strong knowledge of lettings legislation and compliance
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Confident negotiator with strong problem-solving ability
- ARLA qualification (desirable but not essential)
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Local knowledge of the Ormskirk area is advantageous
