Polisher / Linisher
Shifts Available:
Day Shift: Monday to Thursday, 7:00am – 4:30pm (37 hours per week)
Night Shift: Monday to Thursday, 6:00pm – 6:00am (46 hours per week)
Pay Rate:
- Days: £13.50 per hour
- Nights: £15.50 per hour
Contract: 12-week temp to perm
About the Role
We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established UK manufacturer specialising in sheet metal fabrication and stainless steel product design. They supply high-quality products to a diverse range of industries and are known for their commitment to quality, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Due to continued growth, they are looking for experienced Polishers / Linishers to join their production team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a modern manufacturing environment, producing high-quality stainless steel components and finished products.
Key Responsibilities
- Polishing and linishing stainless steel components to a high standard
- Removing weld marks, scratches, and surface imperfections
- Using hand-held and bench-mounted polishing and linishing equipment
- Inspecting finished products to ensure quality standards are met
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings where required
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
- Working to production schedules and customer deadlines
Requirements
- Previous experience in polishing, linishing, fettling, or metal finishing
- Experience working with stainless steel products preferred
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to use a range of hand and power tools safely
- Experience within a fabrication, engineering, or sheet metal environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
