Venn Group is currently recruiting for a Locum Employment Lawyer to join a Midlands-based Local Authority on a part-time basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Employment Lawyer to support a busy legal team, handling a varied caseload across the full spectrum of employment law matters within a local government setting.
Role Details:
- Part-time position
- Initial 6-month contract with the potential for extension
- Predominantly remote working
- Occasional attendance required for Employment Tribunals
Responsibilities & Requirements:
- Managing a broad and complex caseload of employment law matters within a local authority setting
- Providing legal advice on a range of employment issues, including complex and sensitive matters
- Conducting advocacy at Employment Tribunals where required
- Supporting HR teams with advice on policies, procedures and disputes
- Extensive prior experience in local government employment law
- Ability to work autonomously and handle a full caseload confidently
- Strong tribunal/advocacy experience is highly desirable
- Willingness to attend hearings in person when required
