My client is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to join their busy team based in St. Albans. You would be joining an experienced, very knowledgeable team of logistics professionals this role is for an individual who is passionate, ambitious, intelligent and is attracted to a career in European commerce and logistics.
Main Function if the role;
- You will be responsible for organising collection from this manufacturer, through to the “end user”
- You will be the Client’s principal point of contact and also for their UK subsidiaries and distributors.
- You will manage the Client’s project timelines, co-ordinating deliveries and collections with European and UK carriers.
- Compiling detailed KPI and stock reports.
- Processing client orders through use of the “in-house” operating system.
- Negotiating pricing with carriers and our Client.
- Monitoring customs processes.
- Participation in regular review meetings.
- Identify additional Suppliers.
- Providing the highest standards of pro-active written and verbal communication.
- In addition, you will also become involved in working with other clients, managing their shipments to and from the EU.
The successful candidate must have;
- Experience of logistics and supply chain management, either from working with a manufacturer, transport company or freight forwarder.
- Proficient using Excel.
- Problem solving and the ability to manage multiple complex tasks at the same time.
- Excellent communication skills (Written & Verbal)
- A professional, positive and helpful attitude.
- Commercial acumen.
- Attention to detail.
- Manage deadlines.
- Presentable, energetic and enthusiastic.
Hours- Fully office based, Monday to Friday 8am to 5.30pm.
