Are you an experienced Logistics Supervisor or Warehouse Team Leader looking for a role where you can make a real impact?
Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a well-established manufacturing business based in Rotherham who are looking for a Logistics Supervisor to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys being hands-on, improving processes, and bringing structure and organisation to a busy warehouse environment.
The business is going through an exciting period of change, with a new Head of Operations joining later this year to drive improvements across the site. They’re looking for someone who can take ownership of the warehouse operation, support the team, and help raise standards.
Key Responsibilities of the Logistics Supervisor:
- Supervising day-to-day warehouse and logistics operations
- Leading, motivating and supporting warehouse operatives to achieve performance targets
- Coordinating daily despatch activity, ensuring customer orders are loaded accurately and on time
- Managing goods-in processes, checking deliveries against purchase orders and ensuring stock is received correctly
- Maintaining warehouse layout, stock accuracy and overall inventory integrity
- Carrying out stock checks, cycle counts and investigating discrepancies
- Ensuring goods are stored, handled and despatched safely and efficiently
- Monitoring loading quality, product condition and relevant documentation prior to despatch
- Ensuring warehouse processes, procedures and health & safety standards are followed
- Liaising with internal teams, suppliers and transport providers to resolve operational issues
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and raise standards
- Monitoring key warehouse performance measures and reporting on operational activity
Requirements:
- Previous experience supervising within a warehouse, logistics or manufacturing environment
- Experience leading a team and driving standards within an operational setting
- Strong understanding of warehouse processes including goods-in, despatch and stock control
- Counterbalance FLT licence is essential
- Reach truck licence would be highly advantageous
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to adapt to change
