Loss Assessor (Property Claims)
Location: West London to South Wales
Overview:
We are partnering with a leading UK loss assessing firm as it continues its nationwide expansion, seeking experienced Loss Assessors and Loss Adjusters to join its growing team.
This opportunity offers the chance to manage complex domestic and commercial property claims from instruction through to settlement, with full ownership of the claim lifecycle and a strong focus on delivering exceptional outcomes for policyholders.

Role Responsibilities:
As a Loss Assessor, you will manage insurance claims from initial instruction through to final settlement on behalf of policyholders. Working across both domestic and commercial claims, you will be responsible for assessing losses, interpreting policy coverage, preparing claims, and negotiating settlements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing domestic and commercial insurance claims from start to finish
- Conducting site visits to assess property damage and losses
- Reviewing insurance policies and identifying applicable cover
- Investigating the cause and extent of losses
- Gathering and analysing supporting evidence, including photographs, reports, estimates, invoices, and financial information
- Preparing and submitting claims documentation, including schedules of loss
- Assessing financial information to support commercial and business interruption claims
- Liaising with clients, insurers, contractors, and loss adjusters throughout the claims process
- Negotiating with insurers and loss adjusters to achieve fair settlements
- Providing expert guidance and regular updates to clients from instruction through to settlement
- Managing claim strategy and driving claims to a successful conclusion
Experience Required:
- Minimum of 2 years' experience working as a Loss Adjuster or Loss Assessor
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Loss Adjuster or Loss Assessor (Senior Loss Assessor level)
