Learning Support Assistant – Hackney, East London
Prospero Teaching is recruiting a Learning Support Assistant to join a well-regarded secondary school in Hackney. This full-time role involves providing 1:1 and small group support to students with SEN and behavioural needs.
Role Details:
- Location: Hackney, East London
- Position: Learning Support Assistant
- Start Date: September 2026
- Contract: Ongoing until the end of the academic year, with potential extension
- Hours: Full-time, 8:00am-4:00pm
Responsibilities:
- Support students with ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia and behavioural needs
- Provide 1:1 and small group interventions
- Work closely with teaching staff to support learning and development
- Promote positive behaviour and engagement in lessons
- Build strong relationships with students and staff
Requirements:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN (desirable)
- Teaching Assistant or support work experience (desirable)
- Bachelor's Degree (desirable)
- Passion for education and supporting young people
- Reliable, punctual and committed

- Right to Work in the UK
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
