Role Overview
We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a welcoming mainstream secondary school in Havering. The successful candidate will support students across the curriculum, helping them to access learning, stay engaged in lessons, and achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Support students in the classroom under the direction of the class teacher
- Assist with the delivery of learning activities across a range of subjects
- Help students to understand instructions, stay focused, and complete tasks
- Provide support to individuals or small groups to reinforce learning
- Promote positive behaviour and support classroom management
Desirable:
- Previous experience in a mainstream secondary school setting
- Experience supporting students in a classroom environment
- Good understanding of the secondary curriculum
- Behaviour management experience or training
