About the Role
Hathershaw College is seeking a reliable, enthusiastic, and confident Lunchtime Organiser to join it's dedicated support team. This is a rewarding opportunity to play a key role in ensuring a safe, positive, and well-managed environment for our students during lunchtime.
The successful candidate will supervise students across dining and outdoor areas, promote positive behaviour, and support the smooth running of lunchtime activities.
Key Responsibilities

Supervising students in dining halls, playgrounds, and designated areas

Encouraging positive behaviour in line with the school’s behaviour policy

Supporting students with queries or minor issues

Promoting a safe and inclusive environment

Reporting incidents or concerns to senior staff

Assisting with the organisation of queues and movement around the site
The Ideal Candidate Will:
-
Be calm, patient, and approachable
-
Have good communication and interpersonal skills
-
Be able to manage groups of young people confidently
-
Work effectively as part of a team
-
Demonstrate reliability and punctuality
-
Have a commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare
Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable. Safeguarding training will be provided.
Hours & Contract

Approximately 2-3 hours per day (between 11.30am-2.30pm)

Term-time only

Long term position (duration to be confirmed)
