Location: Slough Trading Estate
Contract: Temporary to Permanent
Shift Pattern: Rotating weekly shifts – 6:00am-2:00pm, 2:00pm-10:00pm and 10:00pm-6:00am
Start Date: Immediate Start Available

Looking for a hands-on role with long-term career prospects?

We're seeking a motivated and safety-conscious Machine Operator to join a busy production team. This is an excellent temp-to-perm opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and is keen to develop their skills across multiple production lines.

You'll be responsible for operating a range of machinery, ensuring production targets are met while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate machinery safely and efficiently in line with production schedules.
• Run and monitor extrusion, coating, lamination, and printing processes.
• Slit materials into tapes according to customer specifications and quality standards.
• Process materials accurately through the ERP system.
• Ensure all production, safety, and quality procedures are followed at all times.
• Maintain accurate production records and system data.
• Operate production lines following training and maintain flexibility across departments.
• Support the training and development of colleagues through cross-training initiatives.
• Provide holiday and sickness cover where required.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
• Work towards and achieve production targets and KPIs.

What We're Looking ForEssential Skills & Experience

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or machine operating environment.
• Strong focus on health and safety.
• Basic computer skills and confidence using production systems.
• Good numerical and literacy skills with the ability to complete production documentation accurately.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow production plans and standard operating procedures.
• Experience moving materials using electric pump trucks and/or forklifts.
• Physically capable of handling heavy equipment and materials.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.
• Flexibility to work overtime when required.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.

Desirable

• Understanding of quality management systems.
• Forklift experience or certification.
• Experience within extrusion, lamination, coating, printing, or converting environments.
